Home-brewed Freshlyground Gets MTV Awards Nomination.
We’re giving mad respect to one of our favourite home-brewed bands this morning.
Cape Town based Afro-fusion group Freshlyground has scored an MTV Europe awards nomination in the Best African Act category. The ceremony will take place in Denmark later this year and, in a failed attempt to bring sexy back, will be hosted by Justin Timberlake.
We’re ecstatic that South Africa’s awesome musical talent is emerging on the world stage. Especially a band that is as addictive, hot, and flavourful as our morning coffee.
Viewers across Europe and Africa can vote for their favourite bands, so let’s all go and rock the vote for them here. Also watch out for their third album slated for release in November.
