Will Smith wants to relocate to ‘magical’ South Africa

The former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, actor and rapper Will Smith, wants to exchange his life in sunny California for a life right here in sunny South Africa.

Will fell in love with our lovely homeland when he came here to film the biopic Ali a few years ago.

He told Britain’s Empire magazine: “We want to move to Africa. Actually, I found a house in South Africa, but it was before 9/11 and when that happened, we thought, being Americans, it was a time to be home. But I just loved South Africa.”

“I definitely felt like there was magic there and it was a magic I wanted my family to experience.”

Ah, but before you get charmed, our fellow South Africans, it turns out there’s a bit more to Will’s sudden desire to relocate here than just our homeland’s magical mystique.

He said: “I’ve been travelling around for the past year and the perception of America and Americans is not great around the world…”

A-HA!

Well, we can’t really blame him, can we? We ourselves gave up on an American dream because we couldn’t stand being subjected to further bushwhacking any longer.

If Will, Jada and their offspring really do get a permanent address in the Republic, they might just start the next celebrity trend.

That’ll be okay, as long as we can first screen all potential celebrity residents.
