Bush Welcomes Victoria and David Beckham to the States

No, of course the real, xenophobic President Bush didn’t welcome the Beckhams to the land of the free, the home of the brave, and, well… him.

It was merely his wax figure at the Madame Taussaud’s in New York welcoming their wax figures that had come all the way from the Madame Taussaud’s in London. The New York wax museum is just borrowing the Beckhams for the next two weeks to acknowledge the couple’s pending move to the States following David’s 5 year soccer deal to play with the L.A. Galaxy team. The statues, cloaked in an American flag, were unveiled at the museum to the strains of Neil Diamond’s “America” last night.

We have to admit, the resemblance between Bush and his waxy likeness and the Beckhams and theirs is utterly uncanny. We especially admire the artists for managing to capture the vacant looks in everyone’s eyes.

But you know, the one thing that was a dead giveaway as to the fakeness of the scene was the fact that none of the words on Bush’s written sign is misspelled!
