Isaiah Washington goes to rehab in an attempt to cure himself of stupidity

Forget boozing and shooting up. Since Mel Gibson’s outburst towards Jewish people last year, political incorrectness has seemed to replace drugs and alcohol as the new idiotic indulgence in Hollywood. And as with most trends, it has even hopped abroad, most recently to the U.K.’s “Celebrity” Big Brother house.

Last October, Grey’s Anatomy actor Isaiah Washington outed co-star T.R. Knight when he called him a “faggot” during an on-set fight during which Knight wasn’t even present!

It took a while, but eventually the furore surrounding his idiocy died down… until last week.

After Grey’s Anatomy scooped up the Golden Globe for the Best Television Drama, Washington, who probably had realised by then that his dwindling infamy needed another boost, denied to the media assembled in the Globes press room that he ever called Knight that f-word. By using that f-word again.

And so the fury continued anew. And now Isaiah has fled the furious masses by checking into rehab. Where he hopes to be cured from his homophobia.

We actually think the ideal punishment for Isaiah would be to be fired from his ridiculously high-paying job at Grey’s Anatomy in order to star without pay as an openly homosexual doctor (who’ll have lots of kissing scenes with hundreds of his unattractive patients week after week) in a series called… what else? Gay’s Anatomy.
