NASA Astronaut Lisa Nowak Apparently Left Her Sanity in Space

We’ve always known that it won’t be likely for space cadets to become astronauts. However, we had no idea that astronauts could become space cadets!

But it appears as if though United States Navy Capt. Lisa Nowak, a 43-year-old astronaut who flew on the space shuttle Discovery last July and operated the craft’s robotic arm during three spacewalks, did indeed become a space cadet! Or maybe all that time spent in zero gravity just made her really light-headed?

Why else would she have driven 900 miles across the States from Houston to Orlando - wearing a diaper so that she didn’t even have to pull over to heed nature’s call - to go and squirt some pepper spray into 30-year old Colleen Shipman’s face?

Ah, but alas. Even though her attorney is probably going to use an insanity defence, Lisa spacing out isn’t just merely a case of the line between genius and madness disappearing. This was a good old love triangle. Apparently Lisa felt that her victim totally deserved pepper spray in the face, because she had somehow gotten in the way of Lisa’s mission to win the heart of fellow astronaut, William Oefelein.

So while the American media fall over themselves to track down Lisa’s childhood friends, her husband of 19 years who she recently separated from, and her second grade teacher to find out exactly what could have gone wrong, we just know this:

Lisa has proven that love CAN make one crazy.

Needless to say, she has been grounded by NASA for her naughtiness.
