You won’t see juicy chops dripping down these sexy celebrity chins

A whole bunch of famous Aussies are among celebrities who have received the rather bland distinction of being named the world’s sexiest vegetarians for 2007.

The contest, run by People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) - who else? - on their website, determined the winners by taking a public poll. How democratic of them! The several Australians who were named include Naomi Watts, Sophie Monk and Elle Macpherson.

Now, it doesn’t surprise us to see that the Aussies were so well represented. After all, we all know that, of all the things they love to do to sheep, eating them isn’t on the list. (Australia, where men are men and sheep, as we all know, are rather nervous.)
The winners, however, were Yanks. Carrie Underwood, whose vocal chops made her a past American Idol winner, and The Tonight Show’s band leader Kevin Eubanks took top honours as Sexiest Vegetarian Woman and Man respectively for 2007.
