Steve Hofmeyr: Not dead

Fans were hysterical yesterday when rumours started circulating on text messaging that Steve Hofmeyr had died in a car crash in the Eastern Cape.

The “news” were later even reported on Pretoria radio station Jacaranda FM and then his spokesperson was flooded with calls to find out whether it was true. His people were quickly able to establish that Steve and his crew had arrived safely in the Western Cape where he is about to do a concert.

Now look, we’ve joked about the dude a lot, but we are really glad that he is still alive and well. No idea what kind of sick bastard started the rumour or why. Could it possibly be tied to our sex blogger..?
