Greatest mime in the history of the world dies

Beloved French mime Marcel Marceau has died. He was 84 years old.

He once made the following statement about his wordless craft: “Do not the most moving moments of our lives find us without words?”

For more than 50 years, he acted out the entire range of human emotion, all without ever uttering a word. Off-stage, however, he was famously talkative.

“Never get a mime talking. He won’t stop,” he once said. We are certain that we are not alone in mourning the fact that he will now be forever silent.
