Mugshot in the Morning: Lindsay Lohan

The Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, near Los Angeles, seems to be sitting on some sort of magical secret on how to transform movie stars faster than any plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills can.

Yesterday, at 10:30 a.m. Californian time, recently rehabbed celebutart Lindsay Lohan checked into the jail to serve out the sentence she was handed following dual drunk driving arrests as well as a drug charge earlier this year.

Other than the fact that this picture was taken of her upon her booking, we have no idea what Linds went through next. Whatever it was, it was quick, because a whole 84 minutes later, she was apparently reformed enough to be released! Whoa! That’s faster than we get our fast food down here in South Africa, man!

Still, Lindsay must have been a bit slow on the uptake (well, considering that she had to do two back-to-back stints in rehab? Yeah…), because her sentence still lasted a FULL TWO MINUTES longer than Nicole Richie’s.

Other famous alumni of Lynwood includes Paris Hilton (23 days) and tough cookie Michelle Rodriguez (four hours, 27 minutes… well, the chick’s a lesbian, so we’re sure she may have voluntarily been in there for longer than necessary).

Well, whatever Lynwood’s secret is to so quickly transform bad celebrities into fairly okay ones again (waterboarding? Toilet scrubbing? Lesbian sex?), we think they should share it with a few rehabs in the area. Can anyone say (Empty) Promises in Malibu?

Or perhaps they release them that quickly because they are simply that intolerable in real life!
