Kanye’s emotional return to stage following mom’s death

Rappers may generally seem like a rough and tough bunch, but on Saturday night Kanye West proved that raw displays of emotion are not beneath them.

A mere week after his mom, Dr. Donda West, died following complications due to plastic surgery, Kanye West performed in Paris… and broke down in tears on stage.

Kanye was performing at the Le Zenith venue in Paris on Saturday night. He had apparently been performing for an hour when the intro to his song Hey Mama began. He said: “This song is for my mother.” Then he broke down in tears and had to leave the stage. According to concert goers, he returned after about 15 minutes and performed his hit Stronger.

According to a French reporter: “He kept shouting out to the audience, ‘I need you… I need you right now.‘ and the public was screaming back. It was magic.”

The funeral is expected to take place tomorrow in Oklahoma City in the United States.

The poor guy. We really hope that he does get all the support he needs to make him stronger.
