Chelsy Davy, student princess yet again

The equilibrium in our world has been restored: Southern Africa has two princess bride contenders yet again.

According to tabloid the Mirror, Prince Harry’s Zim-born blonde girlfriend (who was his ex girlfriend for all of last week) Chelsy Davy, decided to reach deep within, to forgive him for whatever wrongdoing he had caused her, and make him her prince again.

Causing all of us to heave a collective sigh of relief and put away our tear-stained hankies.

Yes, their breakup last week really was a matter of national tragedy. We mean, for three long years, their relationship survived a separation of thousands of kilometres. Then, not even three months after she exchanged the sunny climes of our South African shores for dreary Leeds to be closer to her prince, it all shattered to bits.

We think many were surprised that Chelsy was responsible for the breaking up. We’re not. Africa’s a tough continent and we’re a sturdy breed - even the dainty-looking women-folk.

Speaking of dainty-looking but tough South African women? Our other princess contender, Charlene Wittstock, former Olympic swimmer and girlfriend of Prince Albert of Monaco, is still very much the subject of royal wedding rumours.

Score two for Africa!
