Redsaid has had an illustrious journalism career.

It all began at the age of six when she invented gruesome stories and told it to her classmates to keep them quiet whenever the teacher was out. Those lengthy fictions, although never penned, provided the necessary foundation for a life in print journalism, when she quickly discovered that a good story should never be ruined with too many facts.

Her lengthy C.V. includes working as a sports reporter for a now defunct community newspaper in Johannesburg, where, when the editor enquired about golfer Ernie Els’s handicap, she gasped: “He is physically CHALLENGED?”

Other career highlights include having a brief romantic interlude with a Washington Post reporter and stalking having a consensual, mutual intellectually stimulating correspondence with last year’s Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper columnist Connie Schultz.
